Hey folks,
It's been a while, since coming back from vaction on June 10th, I just haven't found many good deals that were worth buying
Another reason was I had to start from scratch after my vacation as everything had pretty much expired!

Anyway here is what I got up to today in CVS
I only took advantage of their gas card deal - Spend $30 get $10 in gas card.

1 Cottonelle 18 rolls bath tissue
1 Scott 6 rolls of kitchen roll
2 24 pack of Nestle .5l
1 Cottonelle flushable wipes
1 Air wick room freshner

Total before coupons 30.73
After coupons the total came to $17.02 and I got a $10 free gas card
I think that's a great deal!

CVS 6/15 Value $19.48 - Paid $2.09

Fairly simple week at CVS for us, we had $12.99 ECB to use
1 Zyrtec $5.99 - $2 off coupon - Prints $5.99 ECB for next week
1 Schick Razor - $8.00 - $3 off coupon - Prints $4 ECB for next week
1 CVS tussin - not on offer but we needed it!!

Before coupons = $19.48
After coupons = $14.48
After ECBs = $1.49 + tax = $2.09
The above deals also printed out $9.99 ECB that we will use on next weeks deals.

Publix 6/15 Value of $22.96 = Paid 96c

Quick Publix run this morning to get a select few items that are on sale.

(2) Bayer Aspirin - $3.49 - (2) Publix $2 off coupons (green ad) and (2) Manufacturer $1 off coupons

Great deal on Revlon Nail products at CVS this week - $4.99 each with $4ECB for next week, and of course there are $2 off and $1 off coupons out there!!

Total came to $7.98
I used $7.98 ECB from last week and I just paid for the tax which is $00.75

Transaction 2
1 Trident Vitality Gum - 99c - 99c ECB to use next week.
1 Revlon nail product - $4.99 - $2 off coupon
Total is $3.98
Used a $3 ECB and $1ECB from last week
I only paid tax which is $00.38 and $00.99c ECB and $4 ECB printed for the future.

Transaction 3
1 Revlon nail product - $4.99 - $2 off coupon
1 Green bag tag - $0.99 - Had a free bag tag coupon from the coupon printer machine in store.
1 News Paper - $1.50

Total came to $4.49, used $4 ECB from Transaction #2, paid 49c + tax = 98c

So, all in all,
Value of $23.44 and I paid $2.11 which is a saving of 91%.

Pretty decent week, I am loving the Bayer deal this week!
There is a $2 off Walgreens coupon in the ad + plenty of manufacturer coupons out there for $1 off - which make it free!

So I kinda spoiled it at the end with the big purchase but hey the savings are obvious and we bought things that we always need and use.

This happened by mistake, I haven't been organized and found a $3 RR that expired today and so I had to go out and buy something! My wife had a headache and was out of her favorite Bayer Chewables Aspirin so I bought her some more!

2 Bayer Aspirin Chewable 81mg - $2.99 - $1 off wags coupon used on both and (1) $1 off manufacturers coupon that i could only use on 1 item - 1 cost .99c the other 1.99
1 filler item M&Ms - 39c - to get me above $3 for the transaction.

Used the $3 RR and paid 40c!! Not bad!!

CVS May 1st Paid 0.78c for $7.04 of stuff

Only 1 deal for me this week and that is on Colgate Max Fresh toothpaste.
Here is my transaction.

I did that twice and bought a Sunday news paper.

I used the ECB from last week and all that was left was .78c and I got $5.54 ECB for next week.
Sorry it's Wednesday and I lost the receipt!

CVS 4/24 Paid 83c for $30.46 of stuff

Another quiet week at CVS.
Glade offer - 3ECB when you spend $12 or more on Glade products.

1st price is original full price, 2nd price is with CVS card

(1) Blink tear solution $11.29 - $7.99 this week - $1 off coupon = 7.99 ECB

I used 15.97 worth of ECBs from last week aand so all I paid was 2 cents and of course tax which was 81c so all in all I paid 83c.

And I got 10.99 ECB to spend on next weeks deals.

Walgreens 4/23 Paid $2.28 for $15.95 of stuff! Saving of 85%

Quiet week at walgreens not a whole lot going on but here is what I did.

1 Nasogel - $4.99 - $1.50 off coupon - $3.49 with $5RR to spend next week
1 Colgate Toothpaste + 1 Brush - $6 - (2)$1 off coupons - $4 with $4 RR to spend next week
1 Nivea Body wash - $3.79 - $3 off coupon - $0.79c (thats just a good deal!!)
3 Russel stover eggs 39c each

Total before coupons etc = $15.95
After coupons $9.45
I used 8 RR from last weeks transaction and so all I paid out of pocket was $1.45 plus tax of 83c which is $2.28

Best of all it printed out $9 in Walgreens Register Rewards (RR) that I get to use next week.

Ok so it's a pretty lame week at Walgreens but I did manage to find some decent deals.
I did 2 transactions today and they were identical

1 Luster Whitening Toothpaste - $4.99 - (1) $1.50 off coupon $4 RR for next week.
1 Carefree pantiliner 20ct - 99c - no coupon - $1RR for next week
2 Hefty storage bags - $3.29 - B1G1Free walgreens coupon (in the ad this week!)
Total before coupons = $12.56
After coupons = $7.77

I had $7RR from last week to use so I paid 77c + tax of 70c = $1.47 out of my own pocket
And remember I did this transaction twice.

All in all I paid $2.94 for $25.12 of stuff and I got $10 of RR to use on next week's advert!

I had $22 of Register Rewards (Walgreens Cash) to spend from last week and it is a pretty bad week at Walgreens for me. Only toothpaste and Gillette Razors giving me decent register rewards. I don't tend to buy stuff that I don't use (unless really really forced too!)

Colgate $2.99 get $3 back.
Gillette Razor $9.99 get $4 back

So here is what I got.......
2 Gillete Razor Pro Glide - (1) $5 off coupon, (1) $4 off coupon
4 Colgate MAX toothpaste. (2) $0.75c off coupon

I also bought some random candy which I didn't need so the savings don't look quite so good this week!

And $20 of rewards (Walgreens cash) to spend on next weeks purchases!!!

Start of another weekly ad at CVS. the deals and savings are as good as ever.

To start with I had $18 ECBs which I got from last week's shopping.

So what did I buy? (Red is the coupon I'm using and in green is the ECB that prints out for next week's use!)

(2) Crest pro health tooth paste at $3.49 each (2) $1 off coupon from 4/3 paper $5 ECB

And I also had a $4 off when you spend $20 CVS store coupon that I got via Email from CVS.

CVS Sunday 3/20

How does CVS work?

CVS runs a loyalty scheme whereby certain products every week print Extra Care Bucks = ECB.
ECB is basically cash that is printed at the bottom of your receipt that can be used on other purchases in CVS.

When I first started doing this 'couponing' game, I had to spend quite a bit out of pocket - around of $20 and I got $15 back to spend on future purchases.

So Week 1 I spent $20 out of my own pocket, but got $15 back in ECB to use next week.
In Week 2 I used the $15ECB from week 1 to buy items that gave me another $15 ECB.
In Week3 I used the $15 ECB from week 2 to buy items that gave me $15 back, and so on and so forth!!

So here is how I did at CVS this past Sunday.

Zantac Antacid 24ct - $8.99 ( $3 ECB printed for use next week)
Allegra Allergy relief 5ct - $6.99 ($6.99 ECB printed for use next week)
(2) Crest Pro Health Gum Protect - $6.98 (3.49 each) (2x 2.49 ECBprinted for use next week)

I paid 53c!(which is for the tax)

Ok so how did I do that?
I had a $5 off coupon for the Zantac which brought the price down to $3.99
I had a $2 off coupon for the Allegra which brought it down to $4.99
And I had (2) $1 off coupon for crest toothpaste

This brings the subtotal to $13.96.
I'm not finished yet.......

I had ECB from last week for $14 to pay for everything, and then because all the products I bought on Sunday printed ECB I got it all back - $14.97 printed ECB which I will then use next week to buy stuff.

Savings so far this year!

So far in 2011 here are my totals and savings.

In a strange role reversal, I (the man of the house) am the couponer.

Probably because my wife is busier than I am, even though she is a stay at home mom, she has a lot on her plate!!
